I've been sprung!

Many times I'm amused by the racing names of the SEGA hounds. I decided to see if I could find out what the heck, La De Da means. Would you belive it...it's defined in Webster's Dictionary as an adjective meaning: affectedly refined in manners or tastes : pretentious, elegant. Babs is not pretentious. She's loving nd affectionate. She could, however, be described as elegant. She is a brindle beauty!

Babs came home with me yesterday. She has settled in so nicely. Even going up and down stairs, cautiously but conquering her fear.

She met my small dog, Chloe, and initally was very curious but was easily distracted away from her. Met my grey Maya and my lab mix, Harley and so far they all seem to be accepting each other. At this point, I'm feeding Babs in her crate and will work slowly to integrate her with the rest of the family.

Babs slept on the floor beside my bed lst night and did quite well. Only a few whimpers and whines in her first sleepover away from the kennel.

It sounds like Babs will easily get used to the good life of a retired hound. I'm sure Chloe, Maya, and Harley will be glad to show her the ropes. :-)
